Flat Creek Apartments is an affordable multi-living complex in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Digital Building Components' prefabricated walls and deck panels created the entire structure for the building including shear walls, stair cores, and exterior demands. DBC developed, tested and implemented a life-safety tie-off connection point system into the panels since there was no existing product in the market.
DBC partnered with SurePods, who delivered 55 prefabricated bathroom pods for the apartment complex, accelerating much of the remaining work. This collaboration of prefabrication allowed the project to achieve a faster construction pace with more controlled resources.
Most projects in remote destination towns lack the resources to build as affordable, rapidly, or reliably as in larger metro areas. Additionally, during winter months, the sites become nearly unsuitable for building, leading to shutdowns until the weather improves and crews can resume work. DBC's systems and off-site prefabrication enabled the quick erection of the structure and skin, facilitating temporary conditions for work to continue throughout the winter months.
